Recommended reading: The Medici Effect by Frans Johansson

The book from Frans Johansson “The Medici Effect” opens many interesting thoughts that we do not think on a daily basis. First of all, we are prisoners of our own environment whereby we have hard time to accept anything that is different. We might have fears, we might thing that people with other opinions are weird or otherwise “hard to deal with”. Johansson explains well in his books what it is that makes some successful and some that will never leave their very cosy environment. Also, the book deals with the most important thing that needs to happen in innovation, which is to combine two domains to create the next leave going forward. This concept called interception is how we find the next big things such as cure for cancer etc.
