Dr. Salonen's academic life has taken him into the world of software business and software engineering. Dr. Salonen participated actively in authoring white papers and academic papers on software business-related topics.

This is my dissertation, which I defended in the fall of 2004. It is very relevant now as the topic was software product platforms and how software vendors can apply a platform for derivative software development using software product line engineering.
