Today I have been proof-reading and working on the second chapter of my upcoming book Rohkeasti maailmalle. This chapter is about our careers, setting the goals of our careers and how to pursue happiness in anything we do in our lives. When researching in the topic, I run into one of my books (in my Kindle DX) from Tal Ben-Shahar and his book The Pursuit of Perfect: How to Stop Chasing Perfection and Start Living a Richer, Happier Life. This book talks about our chase for perfection and our unwillingness to be happy of what we do and achieve. How many times have you put your aims so unrealistically high that you have not been able to reach them with the result of being very unhappy? I can still remember the times in my youth when I worked on some stinking PowerPoint presentation during the whole night to make it perfect… Did it really matter.. No.. was it necessary…? No… but it had to be perfect…. I wonder if people like Steve Jobs ever feel happy about his work….? Just came to think about it…
